Re: Aldi Fireworks 2023

Re: Aldi Fireworks 2023
How do yours feel?
I have bought 4 of them and 3 out of the 4 look very dodgy. And feel rather flimsy

Re: Aldi Fireworks 2023
Bought the cone pack and a razzle dazzle yesterday. The cake looks quite punchy for a supermarket one.
Re: Aldi Fireworks 2023
Looking at the videos the cake is decent for the price but the conics are a bit of a let down. They have decent hight and colour for a supermarket product but the duration isn’t the best

Re: Aldi Fireworks 2023
Morning all, just joined the forum and looking for some advice please -
We are having a fireworks get together at the weekend and looking for some family fireworks but also with a few bangs as well. I have narrowed down a few choices but the thing I just cannot decide on from Aldi is whether to go for the "Whole Shabang" or the "Cosmic Storm". Was looking at "Lightning Force" to begin with but of course read that there was a minimum distance of 25m which we cannot achieve due to back garden so 8m min distance is needed for us. I know it is only a £10 difference in cost but of course trying to keep costs down as its me who is paying for it so wondering what the difference really is between Whole Shabang vs Cosmic Storm?
Lastly, if I am about to spend £35 on a 45 second cake from Aldi would I be better to go and spend the same at my local firework store on something non-supermarket? Sorry, very indecisive - I have money to spend but want to spend it wisely to get as much fun as possible out of it all.
Thank you

Re: Aldi Fireworks 2023
if your looking for something with a bit more of a bang i’d go to your local firework store, for £35 you’ll get something a lot better than what you would in aldi, and even if your looking for things not as noisy your local fws should have things like that

Welcome to the group!!
As Andrew said you can get more bang for your buck at a specialist or even a sessional pop up.
In terms of supermarket fireworks the razzle dazzle from Aldi is a good option. It’s got some lovely effects and is very well priced for a supermarket cake.
So if it’s a finale your after maybe fire 2 at a time and for some more bang get some shot tubes from another store?

Cheers both! So yeah... things may have escalated slightly...
Popped to local firework store just to see what they had and my word it was like Aladdin's cave in there ! They had some unbelievably costly rockets/cakes etc and I couldn't believe how expensive they were! There was a sale on too so he knocked quite a bit of money off. However, we had a chat and the guy was very helpful.
I've walked out with - a finale cake made by Hallmark... should have been £40 and got for £28. A 9 rocket pack by Cosmic - should have been £30 got for £18, and a child friendly small cake made by Bright Star. This was £6. Also got a Bright Star selection box too...
Having said this I think I might have to pop into Aldi though and let a Razzle Dazzle fall into the trolley (accidentally on purpose of course ) !
I've definitely spent a little more than I wanted but literally only by like a tenner or something and watching videos on YouTube of what I have ended up with I can't wait for next weekend !

Re: Aldi Fireworks 2023
This is it now you’ve caught the pyro bug
Sounds like you got some decent bits.
If you feel like you need more cakes the 3 for £25 live wire in Lidl is one of the best supermarket cakes in my opinion
